Next, you will visit Kandy Lake, located close to the Tooth Relic Temple. Locals refer to this lake as “Kiri Muhuda.” It’s a beautiful spot for a leisurely stroll and a perfect place to relax for a few moments. The lake is believed to have been constructed by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1807.

Following Kandy Lake, you will head to Kandy View Point, an excellent location to overlook Kandy City. This viewpoint is just a short distance from the lake and is a must-visit on any Kandy tour itinerary.

Your next stop will be the Kandy Local Market, located in the city center. This market features two floors with an inner courtyard, providing a glimpse into the daily activities of local vendors.

Then, you will proceed to Bahirawakanda Temple, where the impressive giant Buddha statue is sure to captivate your attention. Also known as “Sri Maha Bodhi Viharaya,” this statue stands 25 meters tall and can be climbed to reach a great vantage point for viewing Kandy

The next destination on your tour itinerary is the National Gem and Gemological Museum. Here, you will discover fascinating information about Sri Lankan archaeology and learn about its history, dating back 4.6 billion years. You may even have the chance to see some rare minerals in this museum, making it an excellent stop for those eager to learn.

As per the Kandy City Tour itinerary, your next visit will be to a tea factory, located just outside the city. Here, you’ll gain insight into the complete process of producing the renowned Ceylon tea, a vital economic crop for Sri Lanka that significantly contributes to the country's economy.

After exploring the tea factory, your next stop will be the Peradeniya Botanical Garden, the largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka, covering 147 hectares.
